About the Role:
Little Sprouts Academy in Eastpointe, MI is looking for a passionate and dedicated GSRP Teacher to join our early childhood education team! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) curriculum standards
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for preschool-aged children
- Conduct ongoing child assessments and maintain accurate developmental records and portfolios
- Collaborate with families through regular communication, home visits, and parent-teacher conferences
- Partner with co-teachers and support staff to deliver integrated, play-based learning experiences
- Ensure compliance with GSRP program guidelines, licensing requirements, and quality standards
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and coaching sessions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required per GSRP guidelines)
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate or ZA endorsement in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a structured classroom setting
- Familiarity with GSRP, HighScope, or other evidence-based early childhood curricula
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families and community partners
- Ability to conduct child screenings and developmental assessments
- Warm, patient, and child-centered approach to teaching and classroom management
