About the Role:
Little Sprouts Academy in Eastpointe, MI is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally-driven lesson plans for toddlers
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and support each child's social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily activities
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and developmental records
- Supervise toddlers during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest time
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a consistent, positive learning experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or Early Childhood Education degree preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare/preschool setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development milestones and best practices
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a state and federal background check
- Patient, energetic, and compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
